EFEKTIFITAS PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING (PBL) TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PERFORMA AKADEMIK MAHASISWA KEPERAWATAN: SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Perbedaan tuntutan dan target pembelajaran sekolah dengan perguruan tinggi menuntut mahasiswa berkembang secara pemikiran. Perubahan metode pembelajaran mahasiswa perguruan tinggi menuntut performa akadcmik yang tinggi. Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan performa akademik adalah PBL. Systematic review bertujuan rnengetahui keefektifan PBL terhadap peningkatan performa akademik. Metode Systematic review dilakukan dcngan penelusuran artikel publikasi Academic search complete, Psychology and Behavioral Science Collection, Googlesearch, PubMed serta Sciencedirect.com dengan kata kunci terpilih. Penelusuran dibatasi terbitan 2004-2014 yang dilakukan pada mahasiswa keperawatan. Perlakuan PBL kombinasi Conventional Lecture Learning (CLL) dalam meningkatkan performa akademik. Artikel bersesuaian dianalisis menggunakan Critical Appraisal Tool hasil penelitian RCT dan QE dalam menilai kualitas penelitian. Temuan berupa empat artikel berkualitas tinggi dan dua artikel berkualitas sedang. Hasil menunjukkan PBL meningkatkan performa akademik melalui pelaksanaan dua semester. PBL mengaktifkan kemampuan menganalisis, menumbuhkan motivasi, meningkatkan kemampuan berdiskusi mengenai situasi dan menemukan solusi bermakna sebagai suatu keputusan daiam menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapi.

ABSTRACT

Differences demands and learning targets schools and universities require students develop thinking. Changes in methods of teaching college students demanding high academic performance. One of the methods that can improve academic performance is PBL. Systematic review aims to determine the effectiveness of PBL is to increase academic performance. Methods Systematic review conducted by search engines complete article Academic publications, Psychology and Behavioral Science Collection, Googlesearch, PubMed and Sciencedirect.com with selected keywords. Search limited edition 2004-2014 conducted on nursing students. Conventional treatment combination PBL with Conventional Lecture Learning (CLL) in improving academic perforntance. Corresponding article analyzed using the Critical Appraisal Tool RCT and QE research results in assessing the quality of research. The findings of the four high-quality and two moderate-quality articles. Results showed PBL improve academic performance through the implementation of two semesters. P BL enable the ability to analyze, motivation, improving the ability to discuss the situation and find a meaningful solution as a decision to resolve the problems encountered.
