Pendekatan Interdisipliner dalam Kajian Musik Pop Indonesia

Abstract


Intisari. Tulisan ini mencoba menguraikan pelbagai konsep penting dalam musik populer melalui perspektif/kerangka budaya populer, spesifik pada kasus musik populer di Indonesia. Artinya, tulisan ini bermaksud untuk membahas persoalan musik populer sebagai satu jenis musik yang tumbuh-kembang di Indonesia untuk memberikan penegasan kronologis sebagai penunjuk pemahaman tentang apa, bagaimana, dan ke mana wacana musik populer Indonesia berada. Seain itu, tulisan ini juga memberikan penegasan konseptual tentang metode analisis interdisipliner yang potensial.

Abstract. This paper tries to describe various important concepts in popular music through the perspective/framework of popular culture, specific to the case of popular music in Indonesia. That is, this paper intends to discuss the issue of popular music as a type of music that grows and develops in Indonesia to provide chronological affirmation as a pointer to understanding what, how, and where the discourse of Indonesian popular music is. In addition, this paper also provides a conceptual affirmation of potential interdisciplinary methods of analysis.
