Uji Berbagai Jenis Matriconditioning Terhadap Viabilitas Benih Padi (Oryza sativa L.) Varietas Inpari 32

Abstract


The increasing demand for rice (Oryza sativa L.) certainly has an impact on rice production for farmers. However, rice production sometimes has various problems, one of which is the type of seeds that were cultivated sometimes using harvests last season, and there are even seeds that have entered the shelf life period. Matriconditioning is one method that can help improve the viability of rice seeds that have passed their shelf life to remain capable of production. This study aims to determine the effect of matriconditioning materials such as chaff charcoal, scrub ash, sawdust on the viability of rice seed of Inpari 32 varieties. Started from April 2024 to June 2024, taking place at the Integrated Laboratory of the Agroekotechnology Department of the Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru. This study used the RAL (Complete Random Design) method, with 8 treatments (1 control) repeated 3 times and 2 subsamples. Data analysis using Levene Test homogenicity tests, ANOVA and DMRT follow-up tests. Research results show that matriconditioning material has a significant effect on the germination power of rice seed inpari 32, as well as the treatment with sawdust (m3) has the highest percentage results compared to other treatments.
