Pendampingan Produsen Beton dalam Pengujian Kandungan Logam Berbahaya pada Limbah Mortar Sisa Batching Plant Beton di Kulon Progo, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta
Abstract
Batching plant beton biasanya menghasilkan limbah mortar sisa selama proses produksinya.
Concrete batching plants usually produce residual mortar waste during the production process. This residual mortar is usually used as a lubricant or washing powder before the mixing process and distribution to the project site. The amount of residual mortar waste is 20 m3 per day or depending on the daily production in each factory. The continuous production of waste results in accumulation and takes up space. The management hopes the leftover material can be used for the environment, such as embankment soil, road building materials, parking lots, etc. For this utilization, data on the hazardous metal content of the waste is required so that the manager of PT Aneka Dharma Persada becomes a partner in assisting activities for testing the content of hazardous metals. The test was carried out using the X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and X-Ray Fluoresence (XRF) methods on the waste samples that passed the 100 filters. The activity was held from November 2021 – February 2022. Based on the test result, the AL, Cr, Mn, Fe, Cu, and Zn content was lower than the dangerous threshold. Therefore, the community can use the residual mortar waste directly as stockpile material. Therefore, testing assistance activities in these community services can be an alternative solution to increase partners' understanding of conducting metal content tests before utilizing waste for the surrounding environment. All activities went well, and based on the evaluation results, this community service could increase partners' knowledge from 15,4% to 91,8%.
