HUBUNGAN USIA, TINGKAT PENGGUNAAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI, DAN PENGALAMAN KERJA TERHADAP PEMANFAATAN TELEDENTISTRY PADA DOKTER GIGI DI BANJARMASIN

Abstract


ABSTRACT

Background: Teledentistry is a virtual dental and oral health consultation or treatment. Teledentistry aims to improve the access to dental and oral health in the midst of high demand and limited services. Implementation of teledentistry is influenced by the age of the dentist, the level of use of information technology, and the work experience. Teledentistry-related research is still less observed in Indonesia, especially in Banjarmasin city there has never been any related research. Objective: To analyze the correlation between age, level of use of information technology and work experience on the use of teledentistry in dentists in Banjarmasin City. Methods: This analytic observational study with cross sectional design is using simple random sampling. Results: Dentists who practice in Banjarmasin City are mostly in early adulthood, which is 76 respondents (70.4%), the level of use of information technology is in the high category, which is 49 people (45.4%), lower work experience, which is 45 people (41.7%) and the use of teledentistry for dentists who practice in Banjarmasin City is mostly in the high category, which is 49 people (45.4%). Conclusion: There is a correlation between age, level of use of information technology, and work experience on the use of teledentistry.

ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang: Teledentistry adalah pelayanan virtual konsultasi atau perawatan kesehatan gigi dan mulut secara jarak jauh. Teledentistry bertujuan untuk meningkatkan akses kesehatan gigi dan mulut ditengah tingginya keperluan dan terbatasnya pelayanan. Pengunaan teledentistry dipengaruhi oleh usia dokter gigi, tingkat penggunaan teknologi informasi, dan pengalaman kerja dokter gigi. Penelitian terkait teledentistry masih sangat sedikit di Indonesia, khususnya di kota Banjarmasin belum ada penelitian terkait penggunaan teledentistry pada dokter gigi di Kota Banjarmasin Tujuan: Menganalisis hubungan usia, tingkat penggunaan teknologi informasi dan pengalaman kerja terhadap pemanfaatan teledentistry pada dokter gigi di Kota Banjarmasin. Metode: Jenis penelitian analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional ini menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dalam pengambilan sampel. Hasil: Dokter gigi yang menjalankan praktik di Kota Banjarmasin sebagian besar termasuk dalam kategori usia, dewasa awal yaitu sebanyak 76 resonden (70,4%), tingkat penggunaan teknologi informasi termasuk kategori tinggi yaitu sebanyak 49 orang (45.4 %), pengalaman kerja termasuk kategori rendah yaitu sebanyak 45  orang (41.7 %) dan pemanfaatan teledentistry pada dokter gigi yang menjalankan praktik di Kota Banjarmasin sebagian besar termasuk kategori tinggi yaitu sebesar 49 orang (45.4 %). Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara usia, tingkat penggunaan teknologi informasi, dan pengalaman kerja terhadap pemanfaaatan teledentistry
