Literature Review: Pengaruh Olahraga terhadap Kekakuan Arteri Penderita Hipertensi
Abstract
Abstract: Arterial stiffness is a predictor of cardiovascular disease incidence in adults and other cardiovascular disease risk factors. In hypertension patients with increased arterial stiffness (Pulse Wave Velocity (PWV) ≥ 8 m/s), it is recommended to exercise as one of the non- pharmacological therapies in lowering arterial stiffness of hypertension patients. An aim in this article is to find out the effect of exercise training at arterial stiffness of hypertensive patients. This writing is done by literature review method. Search for articles through the Pubmed and Cochrane Library databases. Articles used in English and published in the last 10 years. After the process of searching and selecting articles, obtained 20 articles used in this literature review. It was found that combined exercise, high-intensity interval training, aerobic exercise, stair climbing, isometric handgrip training (IHT), whole-body vibration (WBV), and taekwondo can reduce arterial stiffness of hypertension patients, but also obtained exercises that show increased arterial stiffness of hypertension patients namely resistance exercise.

Abstrak: Kekakuan arteri adalah prediktor kejadian penyakit kardiovaskular pada orang dewasa dan faktor risiko penyakit kardiovaskular lainnya. Pada penderita hipertensi dengan peningkatan kekakuan arteri (Pulse Wave Velocity (PWV) ≥ 8 m/s), disarankan melakukan olahraga sebagai salah satu terapi non farmakologi dalam menurunkan kekakuan arteri penderita hipertensi. Tujuan dalam penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh olahraga terhadap kekakuan arteri penderita hipertensi. Penulisan ini dilakukan dengan metode literature review. Pencarian artikel melalui database Pubmed dan Cochrane Library. Artikel yang digunakan menggunakan Bahasa Inggris dan dipublikasikan dalam 10 tahun terakhir. Setelah proses pencarian dan seleksi artikel, didapatkan 20 artikel yang digunakan pada literature review ini. Didapatkan bahwa olahraga gabungan, latihan interval intensitas tinggi, olahraga aerobik, stair climbing, isometric handgrip training (IHT), whole-body vibration (WBV), dan taekwondo dapat menurunkan kekakuan arteri penderita hipertensi, namun didapatkan pula olahraga yang menunjukkan peningkatan kekakuan arteri penderita hipertensi yaitu olahraga ketahanan.
