The Relationship Between Education Level And Community Perceptions Of Golden Indonesia 2045

Abstract

This study examines the association between education level and community perceptions of the Golden Indonesia 2045 aspiration among 140 respondents in Karang Indah Village, Mandastana Sub-district, Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan. A quantitative associative survey with a cross-sectional design was employed, using a 28-item instrument measured on a six-point semantic differential scale and validated through Exploratory Factor Analysis (KMO = 0.906; Bartlett's Test = 3,306.968, df = 378, p < 0.001; five extracted components; Cronbach's α = 0.949). Pearson Chi-Square analysis yielded a non-significant result (χ² = 13.320; df = 10; p = 0.206), with Cramer's V = 0.218 indicating a weak, non-significant association. A Grand Mean of 5.07 on the six-point scale indicated high overall agreement with the aspiration. Interpreted through Social Cognition Theory and Human Capital Theory, the findings suggest that in the digital information age, informal information channels may narrow perception gaps across educational levels in rural populations. Given limited statistical power and the absence of direct measures of digital exposure, this mechanism remains an interpretive hypothesis awaiting further testing.
