PERAN GANDA PEREMPUAN BORONG LEPAS DI AFDELING VIII DESA GUNUNG MAS KECAMATAN ASTAMBUL, KABUPATEN BANJAR: STUDI KASUS PEREMPUAN PETANI KARET PTPN XII KEBUN DANAU SALAK

Abstract

Women who play dual roles in society, the role of women is not only to be someone who can only be imprisoned or stay at home. Women can do their activities or work outside the home, so they can have their own income. This study aims to determine: (1) The reasons why women who work as freelancers play their dual roles (2) the obstacles for women who work as freelancers in playing their dual roles in family life. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The data sources used are primary and secondary data, informants were selected by purposive sampling with six informants. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out using analysis techniques using qualitative analysis with data reduction steps, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study showed that: (1) The reasons why women who work as freelancers play their dual roles are: enjoying work, working sincerely for the family, being financially independent, and to change the future of children. (2) the obstacles for women who work as freelancers in playing their dual roles in family life, namely: lack of coordination of division of labor in the family, and weather (rain). Based on the results of this study, it is recommended for women who work as freelancers to continue to maintain their work spirit and share roles in the family. For PTPN XIII, the Danau Salak plantation is expected to pay more attention to road access to the rubber plantation so that all employees can work more easily and are not at risk of unwanted things happening. For the government to pay more attention to the welfare of workers, especially rubber tappers.
