Perbedaan Ketergantungan Smartphone Pada Mahasiswa Universitas Lambung Mangkurat Ditinjau Berdasarkan Jenis Kelamin
Abstract
Penggunaan smartphone yang terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun menimbulkan berbagai dampak atas penggunaannya, salah satunya yaitu ketergantungan smartphone sebagai dampak penggunaan smartphone yang berlebihan. Berdasarkan permasalah tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan ketergantungan smartphone yang dialami mahasiswa Universitas Lambung Mangkurat berdasarkan pada jenis kelamin. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa aktif yang berkuliah di Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Teknik pengumpulan sampel menggunakan accidental sampling. Subjek penelitian berjumlah sebanyak 120 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala Smartphone Addiction Scale (SAS) yang telah dimodifikasi dan diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan independent sample t-test dengan bantuan IBM SPSS versi 23. Berdasarkan hasil analisis independent sample t-test diketahui bahwa tidak ada perbedaan ketergantungan smartphone antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan Universitas Lambung Mangkurat.
