Author Guidelines

General Terms

Agrides: The Journal of Rural Agribusiness accepts manuscripts in Indonesian or English that are the results of research, scientific studies, or conceptual reviews in the fields of agribusiness, agricultural economics, and rural development. All submitted manuscripts have never been published or are being considered in other journals.

The author is obliged to ensure that the manuscript meets the applicable academic rules and scientific writing ethics. All submitted manuscripts will go through a plagiarism check process using software (e.g. Turnitin). Manuscripts with a similarity rate above 20% will be automatically rejected. The author guarantees that the data presented is genuine, not the result of fabrication (creating data) or falsification (manipulating data).

urnal Agrides implements  a Double-Blind Peer Review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept secret. Each manuscript will be reviewed by a minimum of two expert reviewers in their field.

Writing Instructions

• Save your manuscript file in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
• The length of the manuscript is expected to be between 4,000-7,000 words, including introduction, research methods, results and discussion, conclusion, bibliography and appendices (if any).
• Font Times New Roman 11 pt, space 1
• Left margin 3 cm, right, top and bottom margin 1.75 cm
• Left-right flat paragraph (justify)

Manuscript Structure

Title

Titles are a maximum of 20 words, written in capital letters at the beginning of the word, Bold, Times New Roman 18 pt bold, and reflect the content of the research.

Author and Affiliate Names

Author's name without an academic degree. Full affiliation accompanied by the name of the institution, country, and correspondence e-mail.

Abstract and Keywords

Abstracts are written in Indonesian and English, 150–250 words each, containing background, objectives, methods, main results, and conclusions. Keywords consist of 3–5 relevant words and are separated by semicolons.

Article Contents

Introduction. This section should contain the background of the issue supported by relevant references (state of the art). Explain the urgency and research gap you want to fill. Clearly state the purpose of the research and state the novelty or significant contribution of your research.

Research Methods. Describe in detail the research design, location and time, population and sample (if applicable), and data collection techniques. Describe the data analysis methods used in enough detail so that other researchers can replicate your study.

Results and Discussion. Present the results of the research clearly and systematically. Use tables or figures for complex data and don't repeat the same data in text. The discussion must interpret the results, not just repeat them. Connect your findings to existing theories and the results of previous research. Highlight the significance and implications of your findings.

Conclusion. Conclusions and suggestions are written in the form of paragraphs rather than in the form of numbers or bullets. Conclusion is a brief and accurate statement of the results of the discussion, not the results of the rewritten research but the meaning obtained from the results of the research. The conclusion must answer the purpose of the research. Present a summary of key findings without repeating the discussion. Provide practical or theoretical implications of the research results as well as suggestions for further research.

Acknowledgments (Optional). imed at individuals or institutions that provide financial support, facilities, or technical assistance in research.

Bibliography. Use the citation style of APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition, using a 1 cm hanging indent and Times New Roman letters 10 pt. It is highly recommended to use a reference manager app such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote. Make sure that all sources cited in the manuscript are listed in the Bibliography, and vice versa. In-text Citation Guide

The author is required to include the reference source appropriately in the text of the article in accordance with APA Style 7th Edition.

1. Narrative Citation

The author's name as part of the sentence, the year in parentheses.
Example: According to Smith (2020), agricultural technology is constantly evolving.

2. Parenthetical Citation

The author's name and year in parentheses after the sentence.
Example: Agricultural technology continues to evolve (Smith, 2020).

3. Direct Quote

- Under 40 words: use quotation marks and include the page number. Example: According to Satata (2021), "Anxiety arises due to the impulse to fulfill the needs of life" (p. 115).

- More than 40 words: create a new paragraph without quotation marks with a single tab indent, include the page number.

4. Quotes with More Than Three Authors

Write the author's name first followed et al.
Example: (Stukla et al., 2016)

5. Citation from Organization or Institution

Write the full name of the organization in the first quote, then the abbreviation.
Example: (Ministry of Education and Culture [Ministry of Education and Culture], 2020), then (Ministry of Education and Culture, 2020).

Tables and Figures

All tables and figures should be given a sequence number and a clear heading. The table title is placed on top of the table, while the image title is placed below the image.

Table Format

The table is created without vertical lines. Only use horizontal lines on the head and cover of the table. List the source below the table if the data or image is quoted from another party.

Image Format

Images, graphics, or photos must be in HD resolution and delivered in a clear format (e.g. JPEG or PNG). Make sure the text in the image is legible. Include the source below the image if the data or image is quoted from another party.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Copyright Notice

The Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if accepted for publication, copyright of the article shall be assigned to Frontier Agribisnis as publisher of the journal. Copyright encompasses rights to reproduce and deliver the article in all form and media, including reprints, photographs, microfilms, and any other similar reproductions, as well as translations.
