PREDIKSI EROSI DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE REVISED UNIVERSAL SOIL LOSS EQUATION (RUSLE) DAN PENGIDERAAN JAUH DI DAERAH ALIRAN SUNGAI LAWO
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis erosi tanah di Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Lawo dengan menerapkan model Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) yang diintegrasikan dengan teknologi penginderaan jauh dan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Strategi pemodelan yang digunakan mencakup pendekatan spasial melalui survei lapangan serta simulasi hidrologi menggunakan perangkat lunak ArcSWAT. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata laju kehilangan tanah tahunan di DAS Lawo adalah sebesar 13,02 ton/ha/tahun, yang diklasifikasikan dalam kategori ringan. Variasi nilai erosi ditemukan pada berbagai tutupan lahan, dengan angka terendah pada hutan sekunder (0,13 ton/ha/tahun) dan nilai tertinggi pada area pertanian lahan kering bercampur semak (4,45 ton/ha/tahun). Tingginya laju erosi pada area tertentu sangat berkorelasi dengan kondisi topografi lereng yang terjal serta manajemen lahan yang belum optimal. Meskipun distribusi Tingkat Bahaya Erosi (TBE) secara keseluruhan didominasi oleh kategori sangat ringan (33,43%), terdapat sekitar 25,88% wilayah DAS yang telah masuk dalam kategori berat hingga sangat berat. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa penggunaan lahan dan faktor topografi memegang peranan vital dalam dinamika erosi, sehingga diperlukan strategi konservasi tanah dan air yang terpadu untuk memitigasi degradasi lahan di wilayah tersebut
