Effectiveness of the P5 Module Result of Development Using the Environmental Education Model with Paramasan Dayak Local Wisdom
Abstract
This study evaluates the effectiveness of a Pancasila Student Profile (P5) module integrating Dayak Paramasan local wisdom and environmental education to develop core student competencies. A total of 31 7th-grade and 30 8th-grade students at SMPN 1 Paramasan were involved as research respondents. The module's effectiveness was evaluated based on measurable indicators across six dimensions: faith, noble character, mutual cooperation (Gotong Royong), global diversity, critical thinking, and creativity, all contextualized within local environmental conservation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistic analysis, focusing on mean scores and percentage distributions to measure competency achievement. The results quantitatively revealed varying proficiency levels across dimensions. While the Gotong Royong dimension demonstrated the most prominent positive development, significant gaps were measured in global diversity (Class 7: 43.5%; Class 8: 41.58%), critical thinking (Class 7: 19.2%; Class 8: 10%), and creativity (Class 7: 26%; Class 8: 10%). These descriptive statistics provide empirical evidence that while integrating local wisdom effectively fosters collaborative character, structured pedagogical improvements are strictly required to elevate students' critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
