Identifikasi bakat olahraga di Kota Probolinggo

Abstract


Identifikasi Bakat sangat penting untuk mengidentifikasi potensi atlet muda untuk sukses di olahraga kompetitif senior. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bakat olahraga pada anak-anak di Kota Pasuruan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriftif kuantitatif yang melibatkan 461 yang dipilih secara purposif di kota Probolinggo berdasarkan kriteria usia (usia 11 tahun). Beberapa tes dan pengukuran yang dilakukan untuk identifikasi bakat antara lain tes antropometri, koordinasi mata tangan, power otot tungkai, power otot lengan, kelincahan, kecepatan, dan VO2max. Identifikasi bakat olahraga dilakukan berdasarkan Norma. Hasilnya dicocokkan ke dalam tabel profil bakat olahraga sesuai usia dan jenis kelamin peserta. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan 0% siswa dalam katagori sangat potensial, 1,08% dalam katagori potensial, 38,39% dalam katagori cukup potensial, 57,05% dalam katagori kurang potensial dan 3,47% dalam katagori tidak potensial. 1,08% yang masuk dalam katagori potensial terdapat tiga cabang olahraga yaitu sepakbola 0,43% yang tersebar di Kecamatan Kanigaran dan Kedopok, bolavoli 0,43 % di Kecamatan Mayangan dan Wonoasih, dan bolabasket 0,22% di Kecamatan Mayangan
