Karakterisitik psikologis mahasiswa olahraga: Hardiness, spiritualitas, kebahagian hidup dan prestasi akademik berdasarkan perbedaan gender
Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap interelasi hardiness, spiritualitas, kebahagiaan hidup dengan prestasi akademik mahasiswa olahraga dan membedakan berdasarkan gender. Studi ini melibatkan 226 responden dengan rincian 158 mahasiswa laki-laki dan 68 mahasiswa perempuan. Rentang usia mahasiswa berkisar antara 17-22 tahun dengan rata-rata usia 19,48 tahun dan standar deviasi 0,87. Instrumen terstandar seperti RAHS, STI, SWLS digunakan untuk mengambil data karaktertsik psikologis sedangkan data tentang prestasi akademik mahasiswa olahraga diambil berdasarkan GPA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik hanya terjadi pada variabel spiritualitas dengan kebahagiaan (r = 0,318; p < 0,001), sedangkan untuk variabel lainnya ditemukan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan (p > 0,05). Selain itu, hasil análisis komparatif menemukan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik hanya pada variabel prestasi akademik (F = 4,296; p < 0,05), sedangkan untuk variabel lainya kebahagiaan hidup (F = 3,164; p > 0,05), hardiness (F = 0,003; p > 0.05) dan spirituality (F = 1,909; p > 0,05) tampak tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik. Dari empat variabel yang diselidiki hanya variabel spiritualitas dengan kebahagiaan hidup yang memiliki hubungan signifikan. Selain itu, adanya perbedaan yang signifikan berdasarkan gender mahasiswa, hanya ada pada variabel prestasi akademik.
