Pengaruh Berbagai Bentuk Penggunaan Rootone-F terhadap Pertumbuhan Stek Jeruk Nipis (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle)

Abstract


Lime (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) is widely cultivated as a horticultural crop due to its usefulness in enhancing flavors in food and beverages. However, the limited availability of uniform and high-quality seedlings often becomes an obstacle in its commercial cultivation. Vegetative propagation through stem cuttings is one alternative, yet the rooting process tends to be slow without external intervention. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of various forms of Rootone-F application on the early growth of lime stem cuttings. The research was conducted using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with five treatments: control (R0), Rootone-F in paste form (R1), powder form (R2), solution used for the first time (R3), and reused solution (R4). The observed parameters included sprouting time, number of shoots, shoot length, and growth percentage. Statistical analysis showed no significant differences among treatments across all parameters. Nevertheless, R0 showed the fastest sprouting, while R3 resulted in the highest average values for shoot number, shoot length, and growth percentage. These findings suggest that internal physiological conditions may play a more dominant role than the application of synthetic growth regulators during the early phase of stem cutting growth.
