Pemanfaatan Limbah Air Cucian Beras Sebagai POC Pada Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Sawi Hijau Varietas Shinta (Brassica Juncea L.)

Abstract


Public demand for the needs of mustard greens is increasing along with the development of knowledge about the importance of the content in mustard greens, especially phosphorus and calcium for the body. The production of mustard plants needs to be increased due to the lack of availability of mustard production, therefore the cultivation of this plant needs to be increased. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer from rice washing water waste on the growth of mustard greens, and to determine the best concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from rice washing water waste on the growth of mustard greens. This study used a single factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments consisting of: P0 = 0% (1000 ml of well water), P1 = 50% (500 ml of POC of rice washing water + 500 ml of well water), P2 = 75 % (750 ml POC of rice washing water + 250 ml of well water), and P3 = 100% (1000 ml of POC of rice washing water). It was repeated 5 times, so that 20 experimental units were obtained. The results showed that the application of liquid organic fertilizer from rice washing water had a significant effect on the growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) with a concentration of 100% which was able to increase plant height, number of leaves and plant fresh weight.
