Abstract

This community service initiative sought to clarify the training on empowering teachers’ digital literacy, focusing on the use of e-learning applications in their classrooms. The program was implemented in several schools in Manado, including SMP Yapim, MTs Assalaam, and MTs Al Muhajirin, with teachers teaching from the pandemic to the present, as participants. The team applied the methodology in this activity based on six key stages: orientation, discussion, material exploration, action, testing, and reflection. The training lasted for one month. Findings revealed that teachers experienced motivation and better understood how to use e-learning platforms like Edmodo and Google Classroom, which made expanding their teaching and learning easier. The following applications were beneficial for clarifying math equations, articulating concepts in English, completing history projects, and aiding in learning. Students additionally conveyed their contentment and pleasure while utilizing Google Classroom, Edmodo, and WhatsApp media. Nevertheless, issues such as restricted access to smartphones, inadequate internet connectivity, and delays in app access were recognized as barriers during the service.
