ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CONSTRUCTION SAFETY PROGRAM (K2) ON WORKER PERFORMANCE PRODUCTIVITY OF ROAD PRESERVATION PROJECTS

Linda Rahmawati, Candra Yuliana

Abstract

In a construction safety project (K2) is something that must be considered because with the construction safety it can increase the productivity of labor performance. A project will not run well if the workforce on the project does not play an active role. With the implementation of a construction safety program on construction projects, workers will feel more secure in their safety and can improve their performance.

To prove the effect of the implementation of construction safety on the productivity of labor performance, interviews and questionnaires were distributed to 40 workers on the road preservation project of Sp. Handil Bakti (Sp. Serapat)-km 17 (Bypass Banjarmasin). The variables studied were occupational safety (X1), occupational health (X2), and labor productivity (Y). For the analysis using validation test, reliability test, classical assumption test of multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis test, mean and standard deviation. The analysis in this study was assisted by using the SPSS 22 program.

From the results of the analysis, it was found that the influence of the implementation of construction safety on the productivity of labor performance was 79.4%. For the analysis of the constraints, the biggest factor chosen was because of the barriers from the workers' side, namely the workers' familiarity with what they were without personal protective equipment.

Keywords: construction safety, labor performance productivity.
