Erosion Analysis in the Reservoir in the Initial Stage Survey of Riam Kanan Floating Solar Power Plant
Abstract
Riam Kanan Reservoir is one of the reservoirs in South Kalimantan. This reservoir has various benefits such as raw water sources, hydroelectric power plants, pond aquaculture, and tourist attractions. This reservoir also has the potential for floating solar power plants, but this potential is hampered by erosion which then causes siltation as a result of the sedimentation resulting from the erosion. This siltation affects the minimum depth required for the installation of floating solar modules. This study aims to analyze the erosion rate of the reservoir catchment area (DTA). The erosion rate analysis in this study uses the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) method. The calculation was carried out with data from various types of maps such as maps of soil types, slopes, and land cover using ArcGIS software. The results of this study include the value of rain erosion factor (R), soil erodicity (K), slope (LS), and land cover and soil conservation (CP) which are used to calculate the erosion rate per land cover and for all DTAs.
