DEVELOPING CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES, INDEPENDENCE AND FINE MOTOR ASPECTS USING THE PROJECT BASED LEARNING MODEL, DEMONSTRATION METHOD AND FLOUR PLASTICINE MEDIA IN GROUP B CHILDREN AT INSAN KAMIL KINDERGARTEN, BANJARMASIN
Abstract
The problem in this study is the low activity, independence, and fine motor skills of children in imitation activities in Insan Kamil Kindergarten, Banjarmasin. This is caused by learning that is still one-way and does not involve children actively, the low level of independence of children in completing tasks and the lack of learning activities that train children's fine motor skills. The purpose of this study is to describe teacher activities, children's activities and independence, and analyze the improvement of fine motor skills through imitation activities. The research approach used is qualitative with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR), implemented in four meetings with 11 children in group B. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and assessment of the results of imitation. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis techniques and cross tabulations described in the form of tables, graphs and percentages. The results of the study showed a significant increase in (1) teacher activity increased from a score of 17 to 26 with a very good category, (2) children's activity from 18% to 82% with the category "almost all children are active", (3) independence from 27% to 90% with the category almost all children are independent, (4) Fine motor development results from 18% to 91% with the category "Developing According to Expectations". Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of the Project Based Learning model, demonstration method, and flour plasticine media can effectively develop children's activity, independence, and fine motor skills in imitating shapes. This study is expected to be a reference in designing active and meaningful PAUD learning
