The Relationship between Parental Income Level and Public Perception of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Program

Muhammad Rizky Febriansyah, Mahmudah Hasanah

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between parental income level and public perceptions of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Program. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed involving 140 respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Chi-Square tests, Symmetric Measures, and One-Way ANOVA. The results showed that most respondents belonged to low- and middle-income groups and had positive perceptions of the MBG Program. The Chi-Square test indicated no significant relationship between income level and public perceptions of the MBG Program. This finding was supported by the Cramer’s V value, which showed a very weak association, and the One-Way ANOVA results, which revealed no significant differences in perceptions across income groups.
