IMPLEMENTASI PENDEKATAN ETNO-STEM UNTUK PERKEMBANGAN LOGICAL-MATHEMATICAL INTELLIGENCE BERKELANJUTAN DI ERA 4.0

Abstract


Perkembangan abad ke-21 mempengaruhi semua aspek kehidupan, termasuk pendidikan. Kecerdasan logis-matematis, yaitu kemampuan memahami, mengkomunikasikan, dan menerapkan konsep ilmiah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, menjadi kunci keberhasilan dalam menghadapi tantangan era ini. Penelitian ini menganalisis keberhasilan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan etno-STEM di era 4.0 untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan logis-matematis melalui studi kepustakaan. Integrasi pengetahuan berbasis kearifan lokal dalam pendidikan sains membantu pendidik, pembuat kebijakan, dan peneliti memahami tren terkini. Metode studi kepustakaan kualitatif digunakan, dengan data dari 35 sumber dari tahun 2014 hingga 2024. Analisis mencakup identifikasi subjek, objek, tujuan penelitian, dan dampaknya pada kecerdasan logis-matematis peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan etno-STEM efektif dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan logis-matematis, dengan kemampuan pemahaman konseptual, literasi matematis, dan berpikir kritis yang berkembang. Mayoritas penelitian menunjukkan hubungan positif antara etno-STEM dan perkembangan kecerdasan logis-matematis, dengan kriteria efek sedang hingga tinggi dan persentase rata-rata 67,9%. Implementasi etno-STEM membantu guru mengembangkan kecerdasan logis-matematis sambil mempertahankan pengetahuan berbasis kearifan lokal sebagai tren berkelanjutan di era industri 4.0.

Developments in the 21st century affect all aspects of life, including education. Logical-mathematical intelligence, namely the ability to understand, communicate, and apply scientific concepts in everyday life, is the key to success in facing the challenges of this era. This study analyzes the success of learning with an ethno-STEM approach in the 4.0 era to develop logical-mathematical intelligence through literature studies. The integration of local wisdom-based knowledge in science education helps educators, policymakers, and researchers understand the latest trends. A qualitative literature study method was used, with data from 35 sources from 2014 to 2024. The analysis includes the identification of subjects, objects, research objectives, and their impact on students' logical-mathematical intelligence. The results show that the application of ethno-STEM is effective in developing logical-mathematical intelligence, with the ability to develop conceptual understanding, mathematical literacy, and critical thinking. The majority of studies show a positive relationship between ethno-STEM and the development of logical-mathematical intelligence, with criteria for medium to high effects and an average percentage of 67.9%. The implementation of ethno-STEM helps teachers develop logical-mathematical intelligence while maintaining local wisdom-based knowledge as a sustainable trend in the era of Industry 4.0.
