Implementasi Sistem IoT untuk Pemantauan Kelembaban dan Suhu pada Ruang Penyimpanan Vaksin dan Obat di Puskesmas Banjarbaru Selatan
Abstract
This community service program aims to improve the quality of medicine and vaccine storage at Banjarbaru Selatan Public Health Center (Puskesmas Banjarbaru Selatan) through the implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based temperature and humidity monitoring system. The activity was initiated due to the limited facilities following the relocation of the health center to a new building, including the absence of proper environmental monitoring equipment in the storage room. The developed IoT system utilizes an ESP32 WROVER Devkit microcontroller as the main controller, integrated with an SHT22 sensor, a 0.96-inch OLED display, and a buzzer alarm, which transmit real-time monitoring data via Wi-Fi. The community service was carried out in four main stages: preparation, implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. The results show that the system functioned effectively in monitoring the temperature and humidity of the storage room and provided early warnings of abnormal conditions. However, field evaluation indicated the need for an Android-based application to enable more flexible and mobile monitoring through smartphones. This program demonstrates the practical application of appropriate technology to enhance the quality of healthcare services at the community health center level.
