Jurnal Sylva Scienteae publishes research articles in the field of forestry science, including forest product technology, forest management, silviculture, and forest conservation, which have not been previously published elsewhere. This journal is published by the Faculty of Forestry, Lambung Mangkurat University, in collaboration with the Komunitas Manajemen Hutan Indonesia (KOMHINDO) and the Forum Komunikasi Perguruan Tinggi Kehutanan Indonesia (FOReTIKA).
Jurnal Sylva Scienteae was first published in August 2018, with two issues released in August and October. Since 2019, the journal has been published regularly in six issues per year, namely in February, April, June, August, October, and December. The journal was initially chaired by Dr. H. Hamdani Fauzi, S.Hut., M.Si., followed by Dr. Ir. Trisnu Satriadi, S.Hut., M.Si. from January 2021 to June 2025. Starting in July 2025, the Editor-in-Chief position has been held by Dr. Badaruddin, S.Hut., M.P.
Based on the Decree of the Director General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology No. 295/C/C3/KPT/2026 concerning the Reaccreditation Ranking of Scientific Journals for Period 2 of 2025, issued on January 2, 2026, Jurnal Sylva Scienteae is accredited as SINTA 3.
