POLA BINA PILIH UNTUK PENINGKATAN VOLUME TEGAKAN LANJUTAN DI PT. KARYA DELTA PERMAI
Abstract
The selective development pattern is one of the forest management methods that aims to achieve sustainability in wood production, maintain environmental quality, and ensure the sustainability of the social and economic functions of forests. The objective of this research is to assess the optimal spatial pattern of the selective management system between the tree canopy buffer-based method and the box-grid method in an effort to increase the potential volume of the subsequent stand at PT. Karya Delta Permai to produce sustainable timber production. This research was conducted at PBPH PT. Karya Delta Permai Central Kalimantan in the RKT 2022 block plot 12P. The object of this study is the residual stand in the research plot in the RKT 2022 Block Plot 12P. The data collection method used is sampling with the purposive sampling method, which is selecting samples selectively and based on specific criteria. The conclusion obtained from this research is that the construction pattern design choosing a spatial design based on Header Buffer is more optimal than Box-Grid based, where trees built with a design based on crown buffer have more optimal growth space. The number of remaining stands before the tree canopy-based bina bilih pattern was designed was 1,717 trees, then after the tree canopy buffer-based selected bina bilih pattern was designed using buffers of 6m x 6m and 8m x 8m respectively the number of remaining stands reached 1,653 trees and 1,603 trees.
