KARAKTERISTIK INDIVIDU TIM KERJA PERLINDUNGAN DAN PENGELOLAAN EKOSISTEM GAMBUT (TK PPEG) DAN PEMETAAN USAHA MASYARAKAT DALAM UPAYA PEMULIHAN EKOSISTEM GAMBUT
Abstract
Indonesia has peatlands of approximately 15.5 million-18.5 million ha on three major islands, namely the islands of Sumatra, Kalimantan and Papua. Kalimantan is an island with a distribution of 9.75 million ha of peatlands, where Tapin and Hulu Sungai Utara Regencies have scattered peatlands. Related to the peatlands being faced is the absence of individual TK-PPEG characteristics and spatial information that maps the distribution of peatland-based community businesses in supporting peat ecosystem restoration efforts. The aims of the research are: (1) To analyze the individual characteristics of TK-PPEG in peatland-based businesses in efforts to restore peatlands; and (2) Analyze the distribution of community efforts in efforts to restore the peat ecosystem. The research was carried out in four scattered villages, namely in Pabaungan Hulu Village, Sungai Rutas Village. Pawalutan Village and Pulau Damar Village. Location determination and informants were selected by purvosive sampling in which all informants were taken from TK-PPEG (Census) members who had peatland-based businesses and village facilitators (2 people/village). The results of the analysis of the TK-PPEG characteristic assessment were that the level of individual characteristics in Sungai Rutas Village was moderate (18.23), Pabaungan Hulu Village was high (19.4), Pawalutan Village was high (19.06), and Pulau Damar Village was moderate (17.41 ). The distribution of community businesses in efforts to restore peat ecosystems is Sungai Rutas Village (eel farming) with a low success rate, Pabaungan Hulu Village (healthy chicken farming) medium success rate, Pawalutan Village (goat farming) high success rate, and Pulau Damar Village success rate low in papuyu fish farming, celery, tomato and watermelon farming, while the success rate is moderate in chili farming
