Abstract

This research aims to; (1) Knowing the level of suitability of rubber crop land, (2) Knowing the average productivity of rubber tree in each unit of rubber-embedded land in the Catchment Area (WCA) of the Riam Kanan Sub-Sub Watershed of the Barito Watershed. The research was conducted. Data collection was carried out using purposive sampling techniques for soil sampling and proportional sampling for determining rubber farmer samples in each unit of rubber-embedded land. Data collection was carried out on 11 units of land that had been determined in the Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis. The results stated that the actual land suitability class of rubber tree in the WCA Riam Kanan Sub-Sub Watershed was quite suitable (S2) with a total area of 2,259 ha, corresponding to marginal (S3) with a total area of 1,104 ha, not suitable (N) with a total area of 1,689 ha with limiting factors of alkaline saturation, pH, slope, erosion hazard level. Land unit 2 (PLSCB), 6 (PKDPLKC), and 10 (OHLHT) have an average productivity value range of 3,48-3,71 tons/ha/year, falling into the high productivity class. Rubber embedded land units totaled 9 units of land. Land unit 1 (PLDPK), 5 (PLDPLKC), 8 (TECB), and 11 (OHALHT) range of average productivity value 3,24-3,47 ton/ha/year, fall into the medium productivity class. Land unit 4 (TECB) and land unit 7 (TEACB) have an average productivity value range of 3,00-3,23 tons /ha/ year, falling into the low productivity class.
