Site Analysis To Illustrate The Potential Of Forest Areas With Special Objectives Of Lambung Mangkurat University

Abstract

ABSTRACT. The use of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology needs to be developed to determine biophysical conditions, actual use of areas, and produce the latest zoning maps in order to support the direction of planning and management of ULM KHDTK. The purpose of this study is to analyze the site to describe the potential of the ULM KHDTK area. Based on the results of downloading sentinel-2A images analyzed through the NDVI method with the division of 7 of the 8 existing classes, coupled with 5 slope classes and soil type data for the ULM KHDTK area, the results of the picture are in the form of land unit maps. The unit map has 35 units of land containing 31 potential objects on the site and 4 units of land not found in the area. Based on the entire area of KHDTK ULM, which is 1,617ha, there is a total of +308ha of area containing potential objects on the Zoning site in which there are several land units that have potential such as potential damage that must be immediately reviewed covering an area of-+0.5ha, plantations to raise the economic level of the surrounding community covering an area of 132.3ha, forested land to maintain forest sustainability covering an area of 160.4ha, and busy activity areas to support the interests of the institution and can become The potential attraction for tourists is 14.8Ha. The results of this analysis show that there are still +1,309ha of KHDTK area where there is no potential object on the site. There is no potential object on the site in question, namely the area has no further management and can be included as a protected area in conservation forests.
