Author Guidelines

  1. The manuscripts must be submitted to Warta Bumi Teknika: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat editorial office by Online Submission.
  2. All manuscripts must be submitted to Jurnal Geoparks editorial office by Online Submission at journal portal URL: https://ppjp.ulm.ac.id/journals/index.php/geoparks/about/submissions#authorGuidelines

  4. The manuscript is typed in MS Word .doc format, using 10 size Palatino Linotype fonts, 1 (one) spaced, margins (top, left, right and bottom are 3 cm, 3 cm, 3 cm, and 2 cm) on quarto paper (A4), minimum 10 page and maximum 14 pages in length. Use BIPF template for preparing your manuscript (Download). 
  5. The manuscript is writing in Indonesian.
  6. The systematic format of study consists of title; author’s name; abstract (Indonesian and english); introduction (background and objectives or scope of the article); method; results and discussion; conclusions; and reference.
  7. Title. The title must be clear and informative, written with a font size 14 points, Californian FB, a maximum of 20 words, spaced 1, Center and text has only a capital letter at the beginning of a sentence.
  8. Author's names and institutions. The author's name is listed without an academic degree and placed under the title of the journal. Author affiliations ware listed under the name. Authors are encouraged to enter email addresses to facilitate communication. The author's name is written in font size 11 points, affiliation and e-mail are written in font size 9 points, Palatino Linotype, spaced 1, center.
  9. Abstract. Abstracts are written in English and Indonesian (maximum 250 words), containing the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the study. Each article in a scientific journal must include an abstract that is generally only one paragraph (not a summary consisting of several paragraphs) that is concise, clear, intact, and there are no references to literature, images, and tables. Written in font 9, Palatino Linotype, space 1.
  10. Keywords. Keywords must consist of 3 to 5 words or phrases and in alphabetical order. Words or terms that reflect article content and are informative, written under abstract, Written in font 9, Palatino Linotype, space 1.
  11. Introduction. (without subtitles) The introduction explains the background and community service objectives. Written in font 10, Palatino Linotype, space
  12. Method. This section describes how the community service was conducted, the subject of community service, etc.  It is written in font 10, Palatino Linotype, space 1.
  13. Results and Discussion. This section is the central part of the research article and is usually the longest part of an item. The discussion shows how the community service objectives are achieved, describes and interprets the findings, integrates findings into existing knowledge, and constructs new theories, or modifies existing methods. The community service results presented in this section are "clean" results.  Tables and graphs can be used to clarify the presentation of verbal community service results. Tables and figures must be commented on or discussed. Written in font 10, Palatino Linotype, space 1.
  14. Conclusion. Conclusions present a summary of the description of the results and discussion, referring to the community service objectives. The conclusion must be the same as the one discussed in the body of the text. Presented clearly. Written in font 10, Palatino Linotype, space 1
  15. Reference. This section only includes paper, books, or other types of publications referred to in the body of the text. Quotes and references must strictly follow the APA 6th Edition (American Psychological Association) style. Must use a minimum of 60% of the primary reference sources (national journals or international journals) of the last ten years of publication. The reference list is organized alphabetically.
  16. Please use Reference Manager Applications like EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc.

 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
