AGRIDES: Journal of Rural Agribusiness was first published in March 2011 by the Agribusiness Development Forum (Forum Pengembangan Agribisnis), Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University. The journal has maintained its name since its establishment. The following outlines the publication history of the journal:
2011: Establishment and First Publication
The journal was officially established and its first issue was published in March 2011 in print format. In the same year, the journal obtained its print ISSN (2088-2882) on March 30, 2011. During 2011–2012, the journal was published four times per year, in March, June, September, and December.
2013: Frequency Revision
The editorial board revised the publication frequency from four issues to two issues per year. From 2013 onwards, the journal has been published biannually in April and October. This change was made to improve editorial quality and ensure a more rigorous review process.
2014–2015: Active Print Publication
The journal continued to publish regularly in print format with two issues per year (April and October). All articles published during the 2011–2015 period were disseminated exclusively in print.
2016–2023: Temporary Hiatus
Publication of AGRIDES was temporarily suspended during this period. The hiatus was primarily due to several core editorial team members pursuing doctoral studies, while others were appointed to serve as heads of study programs at Lambung Mangkurat University. Despite the pause in publication, the journal's print ISSN registration remained active.
2024: Reactivation, Transition to Online Platform, and Organizational Update
The journal resumed publication with the release of Volume 6, Number 1 (2024) as part of a transitional period. A significant milestone in this year was the migration to the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, through which all previously published articles from 2011 to 2015 were retrospectively archived and made publicly accessible online. The journal management was also formally transferred from the Agribusiness Development Forum to the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University, under the continued leadership of the same Editor-in-Chief. Other key developments included the formation of a renewed editorial team and the revision of the manuscript template and author guidelines.
2025: Online ISSN Registration and Regular Publication Resumed
The journal obtained its online ISSN (3109-7855) in 2025, marking the journal's official transition to an online publication. AGRIDES returned to its regular biannual publication schedule with Volume 7, published in April and October 2025.
