Analisis Pendapatan Bayam di Kelurahan Loktabat Utara Kecamatan Banjarbaru Utara Kota Banjarbaru

Abstract

The study intentions are: (1)to describe the spinach cultivation stages in study site; (2) to calculate its cost, revenue, and profit; and (3) to observe the problem met by farmers. The census method was applied in involving 30 farmers in study site as respondents. Generally, the spinach is cultivated traditionally . Its stages are land preparation, planting, fertilizing , watering, pest controlling , and harvesting . With the total cost per farm IDR income 3.17 million, around 5,600 bundles of spinach is produced. The average profit per farm per season is IDR 1.2 million. The problems encountered are mostly related to extreme weather change and pest attack. The extreme heat or too much rain causes drawback on the spinach growth. Whi le the pest attack decreases the yield quantity as well as the quality.
