Gambaran kemampuan metakognitif pada mahasiswa penggemar anime
Abstract
ABSTRAK
Anime merupakan animasi khas Jepang dengan beragam jenis penonton, baik anak-anak hingga orang dewasa. Anime bukan hal asing bagi mahasiswa Program Studi Psikologi Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Beberapa dari mahasiswa yang menggemari anime tersebut memiliki prestasi belajar rendah ditunjukkan dalam indeks prestasi dibawah 2,5 selama empat semester berturut-turut. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui gambaran kemampuan metakognitif pada mahasiswa penggemar anime. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara dan observasi. Subjek penelitian yaitu dua orang mahasiswa Program Studi Psikologi Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, masing-masing berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan perempuan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menemukan bahwa mahasiswa yang menggemari anime cenderung memiliki efikasi diri negatif dan kurangnya kesadaran akan regulasi diri dalam belajar yang berdampak pada kurangnya kemampuan metakognitif dalam mengatasi prestasi belajar rendah yang dimiliki.

Anime is a Japanese-type animation with different types of audiences, both children and adults. Anime is not a foreign thing for Psychology students of Lambung Mangkurat University. Several of the students whose are anime fans has low academic achievement as shown in GPA below below 2.5 for four consecutive semesters. This study aims to know the description of metacognitive skills in the anime fan college students. This study used a qualitative approach with interviews and observation methods. This study’s subjects are two students of the Department of Psychology of the Lambung Mangkurat University, each male and female.The result of this study shows that the students whose like anime has negative self-efficacy and lack of awareness for self-regulation in learning which impacted to the lack of metacognitive skills in overcoming their low academic achievement.
