Jurnal Ilmiah Berkala Sains dan Terapan Kimia (JSTK), abbreviated as J. Berk. Sains Terap. Kim., is an open-access and peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat.
The journal publishes high-quality original research articles, review papers, and short communications covering various fields of chemistry and applied chemical sciences, including organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, and theoretical and applied chemistry.
JSTK was first published in 2007 and has been available online through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform since 2017. The journal is published biannually in January and July and aims to promote the dissemination of scientific knowledge and innovation in chemistry and related disciplines.
All submitted manuscripts are reviewed by the editors and external peer reviewers according to their respective fields of expertise. Authors are strongly encouraged to submit manuscripts in English (U.S. English). Manuscripts written in Bahasa Indonesia may also be submitted; however, once accepted for publication after the peer-review process, an additional fee will be charged for manuscript translation, separate from the publication fee. Only manuscripts written in English are eligible for final publication. Authors must submit a statement letter confirming that the manuscript is original, represents their own research findings, and has not been previously published elsewhere.

Dear Authors, Reviewers, and Readers, We would like to inform all prospective authors that Jurnal Ilmiah Berkala Sains dan Terapan Kimia (JSTK) was accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia with a SINTA 3 ranking for the accreditation period ending in 2023. Following the expiration of this accreditation period, JSTK has not yet undergone reaccreditation because the national journal accreditation submission period has not been opened by the relevant authority. Consequently, the journal is currently awaiting the next official accreditation cycle. Despite its current accreditation status, JSTK continues to uphold rigorous editorial standards through a blind peer-review process, adherence to publication ethics principles, plagiarism screening using Turnitin with a maximum similarity index of 15%, and publication under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) . The Editorial Board remains fully committed to maintaining the quality, integrity, and continuity of the journal while preparing all necessary requirements for the upcoming national reaccreditation process.
