PROTOTIPE ALAT UKUR INDEKS MASSA TUBUH MENGGUNAKAN INFRA MERAH

Abstract


Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah alat yang mampu mengukur Indeks Masa Tubuh (IMT) dari seseorang secara elektronik (automasi). Produk ini dikembangkan untuk memecahkan masalah efisinsi waktu dalam pengukuran IMT seseorang dengan memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi yang ada saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan produk yang terdiri dari beberapa langkah, yaitu observasi, perencanaan dan perancangan, percobaan dan pengujian, dan analisis. Subjek uji coba produk merupakan mahasiswa PJKR STKIP Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung sebanyak 44 orang. Produk diuji validitas dengan metode validitas eksternal dan reliabilitas produk dengan metode tes ulang. Selanjutnya data dianalisis menggunakan korelasi product moment. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh nilai validitas untuk pengukuran berat badan sebesar 0.561, tinggi badan sebesar 0.699, dan IMT sebesar 0.428. Berdasarkan analisis data uji reliabilitas diperoleh r11 = 0.988 > rt= 0.297. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa IMT meter valid dan reliabel dalam pengukuran indeks massa tubuh serta lebih praktis dan efisien.
