ANALYSIS OF PROJECT EFFECTIVENESS COMPARISON WITH AND WITHOUT USING COST BUDGET PLAN AND TIME SCHEDULE USING PRECEDENCE DIAGRAM METHOD SCHEDULING
Abstract
Good project planning can minimize delays, high costs, and technical adjustments. However, the Nusa Guest House project in Banjarbaru by CV Senusa Group was carried out without comprehensive planning and without involving a formal planning consultant, relying only on floor plans and workers' experience. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of projects with and without planning by analyzing the Budget Plan and schedule using the Precedence Diagramming Method (PDM). The compiled budget shows a cost of Rp 2,918,133,500, while the owner allocated Rp 4,406,000,000, resulting in a difference of Rp 1,487,866,500 (excluding VAT). After adding 12% VAT, the difference becomes Rp 1,666,410,480. The project runs for 564 days, from January 2, 2023 to September 12, 2024, with 85% progress achieved. The study concludes that lack of comprehensive planning increases the risk of inefficiency in cost and time.
