PENILAIAN KESEHATAN HUTAN BERDASARKAN INDIKATOR BIODIVERSITAS PADA BLOK PEMANFAATAN TAHURA WAR

Abstract

The level of biodiversity in a forest area, especially in the TAHURA WAR Utilization Block, needs to be known to assess the health level of the forest, especially because the block involves the community in its management. The aim of the research was to determine the level of biodiversity with tree species diversity parameters and forest health assessments with biodiversity indicators. The stages of the research were carried out in the form of making cluster plots of 7 plot clusters with the sampling intensity formula (0.0025%) and forest health assessment using the FHM method. The results obtained showed that the level of tree biodiversity (H') in the utilization block obtained an average of 1.7, and the assessment of forest health in the utilization block was classified as good in the range (0.95–1.22). The types of plants found in the block with the highest utilization of plantation crops, namely rubber, are 174 trees. The conclusion was that the overall tree biodiversity value was in the range of 0.95–1.22, and the overall forest health value obtained was quite good. This is shown by cluster plot 2, which is included in the very good category. There are 3 cluster plots with good categories, namely clusters 1, 3, and 4. Meanwhile, cluster plot 5 belongs to the moderate category, and cluster plots 7 and 6 fall into the bad and very bad categories.The dominant tree species in all observation locations were rubber and durian species, with 174 and 159 individual trees, respectively

Tingkat biodiversitas suatu kawasan hutan terutama di Blok Pemanfaatan TAHURA WAR perlu diketahui untuk menilai tingkat kesehatan hutan, terlebih dikarenakan blok yang melibatkan masyarakat dalam pengelolaannya. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui tingkat biodiversitas dengan parameter keanekaragaman jenis pohon dan penilaian kesehatan hutan dengan indikator biodiversitas. Tahapan penelitian yang dilakukan berupa pembuatan klaster plot sejumlah 7 klaster plot dengan rumus intensitas sampling (0,0025%) dan penilaian kesehatan hutan dengan metode FHM. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa tingkat biodiversitas pohon (H’) pada blok pemanfaatan diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 1,7 serta penilaian kesehatan hutan pada blok pemanfaatan tergolong baik berada pada rentang (0,95-1,22). Jenis tanaman yang terdapat di blok pemanfaatan tertinggi dari jenis tanaman perkebunan yaitu karet sebanyak 174 pohon. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh bahwa nilai biodiversitas pohon secara keseluruhan berada dalam rentang nilai 0,95-1,22 serta nilai kesehatan hutan yang diperoleh secara keseluruhan tergolong baik. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh klaster plot 2 termasuk kedalam kategori sangat baik. Terdapat 3 klaster plot dengan kategori baik yaitu pada klaster 1, 3, dan 4. Sedangkan klaster plot 5 tergolong kedalam kategori sedang, serta klaster plot 7 dan 6 dalam kategori buruk dan sangat buruk. Jenis pohon yang mendominasi pada keseluruhan lokasi pengamatan yaitu dari jenis karet, dan durian berturut-turut sebanyak 174 dan 159 individu pohon.
