Author Guidelines

 Articles written for SOCIUS (Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial) include the results of the study (only on invitations) and research results in the field of education and learning IPS. The script is typed with the Microsoft Word program, Times New Roma Letter, size 12pts, with a space of 1 printed with an A4 size with a text length (4500-6000) or 10 maximum of 16 pages. 

A. Conceptual script:

  • Title (written in capital letters)
  • Author's name (without an academic degree, accompanied by institutional affiliation with full address and email address
  • Abstract (maximum 250 words written in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Keywords (2-5 drafts)
  • Introduction (15-20% of the whole article
  • Subtitles (according to the discussion requirement)
  • Sympulsion
  • Bibliography (70% of reference sources used in this article from journal articles, book chapters, and books published in the last 10 years). Meanwhile, 30% of references can come from other sources, such as theses, research reports, news, or other publications that are still relevant.

B. Research manuscripts:

  • Title (written in capital letters)
  • Author's name (without an academic degree, accompanied by institutional Affiliation with full address and email address
  • Abstract (maximum 250 words written in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Keywords (2-5 drafts)
  • Introduction (15-20% of the whole article
  • Research methods (10-15% of the whole article)
  • Results and discussion containing 40-60% of the entire article).
  • Sympulsion
  • Bibliography (70% of reference sources used in this article from journal articles, book chapters, and books published in the last 10 years). Meanwhile, 30% of references can come from other sources, such as theses, research reports, news, or other publications that are still relevant. Quotes and references must strictly follow the APA (American Psychological Association) style.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

The articles published in this journal are scientifically proved, which follow the code of ethics in scientific publication. The code of ethics it self upholds three values of ethics in publications, namely, (1) Neutrality (free from conflicts of interest in public management). (2) Justice (giving the right of authorship to the beneficiary as the author). (3) Honesty (free from duplication, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism (DF2P) in the publication. The articles published also following certain procedures or orders, such as double-blind review and revision process that consistent with the journal’s regular review, to ensure that the quality is maintain properly.
