The author, who obtained her M.Sc. in TESOL from University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK, currently works as a lecturer at the English Language Education Department, Faculty of Education and Humanities of Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW), Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The Editor-in-Chief of SAGA Journal UKDW, she is also a reviewer of IJELTAL journal, IAIN Samarinda and LLT Journal, Sanata Dharma University. Her research interest includes L2 learner’s individual differences, Global Englishes, L2 writing, critical literacies, and inclusive education in ELT. Throughout her teaching career, she has taught students from various levels of education, including teaching ESP to Medical students and Biology students as well as teaching non-English teachers of High Schools. She was once also a teacher of the Indonesian language at Arizona State University from 2013 to 2014.

The author obtained the M.A. in Linguistisc from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta. Besides, she also masters Korean language by obtaining scholarship for Korean Language Teacher Workshop from the Ministry of Korean Culture in Pai Chai University and scholarship as a research student from Sogang University, Korea. The author currently teaches the Indonesian Language in Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta (UAJY). It has been more than nine years she has been teaching the Indonesian language for foreigners (Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing - BIPA). She once also taught the Indonesian language in Thailand and Korea. She has research interest in Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, Second Language Acquisition, Phonology, Morphology, Stylistics, and the last but not the least, literature. She has done many studies related to foreign students’ pronunciation and is doing research related to sound recognition to developing translation machine.
