Pola Lengkung Telapak Kaki dan Ujung Jari Kaki Pada Masyarakat Suku Serawai
Abstract
The Serawai tribe is one of the indigenous communities in Bengkulu, Indonesia, with the second-largest population after the Rejang tribe. As part of the Malayan Mongoloid group, the Serawai tribe exhibits unique cultural, linguistic, and physical characteristics. These physical traits, influenced by genetic factors, can provide valuable insights for various scientific and forensic applications. This study aims to analyze the foot arch and toe patterns of the Serawai tribe in Bengkulu. Data were collected from December 2021 to February 2022 in Pematang Gubernur Village, Bengkulu City, using interviews and direct surveys involving Serawai individuals who met the inclusion criteria. The collected data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. A total of 100 participants fulfilled the study requirements. The analysis revealed three distinct arch patterns, with the dominant being the High Arch (74.64%). Additionally, there are six patterns of the tip of the toes, with the dominant being the Greek (32.83%). However, no statistically significant correlation was found between gender and foot arch or toe patterns.
